Powderpuff; Shaving

This picture series shows how a puff is shaved, european style.


Clipping should be done prior to bathing, so that all loose hairs are washed away. I start from the lower edge of the ear to the outer corner of the eye. I use the clipper against the direction of the hair.	Then I shave under the eye, towards the muzzle. I strech the skin under the eye to get a close, even cut.

I shave a wedge between the eyes, approximately at the stop. Then I shave the top of the muzzle, from the stop (the transition between muzzle and scull) and forward.	I then do the neck. I start by marking where the V should be by turning my clipper upside down so that I get a nice, sharp line I start shaving at the end of the V, by the breast bone.

From the throat I shave upwards towards the chin.	Finally I do finishing touches on the muzzle, and shave around the nose.

Finally some finishing touches.	Remember to brush out the hairs from the coat after finishing -otherwise you will get knots!
